Senior Fire Engineer - London Hybrid at RLB

Join RLB as a Fire Engineer supporting fire engineering, risk assessment, compliance, and consultancy services for public- and private-sector built environment clients. This hybrid London role combines site visits, client advice, project delivery, and fire safety compliance work.

Description

  • Support the preparation of PQQ and bid documentation
  • Deliver client-focused quality assurance and compliance support
  • Conduct site visits for a wide range of fire consultancy assignments
  • Provide fire safety advice, guidance, and training to clients
  • Engage with enforcing authorities on clients’ behalf when needed
  • Guide clients on fire safety standards and business-relevant best practice
  • Help expand and strengthen the fire consultancy service
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports
  • Deliver fire engineering work as part of the established multidisciplinary consultancy team

Requirements

  • A minimum Level 5 qualification in a fire-related discipline
  • Extensive working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
  • Demonstrated experience delivering technically robust work
  • Membership of the IFE, IFSM, or an equivalent professional body
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects with initiative and care
  • Successful experience managing and developing team members
  • Experience building new relationships and winning business
  • A client-facing approach with consistently high technical standards
  • Ability to develop durable relationships with clients
  • Strong workload management and deadline delivery skills
  • A collaborative, sociable, adaptable, and motivated approach
