Senior Field CTO, Public Sector Cybersecurity

Lead Claroty’s public-sector solution engineering and cybersecurity strategy. Help protect federal, defense, and state and local critical infrastructure with CPS, OT, and ICS solutions.

Description

  • Lead and develop Claroty’s public-sector solution engineering team, including recruiting and coaching.
  • Work with sales leaders, general managers, and partners on pre-sales strategy, quota attainment, and team performance.
  • Advise agency leaders and prime contractors as an executive solution architect.
  • Adapt Claroty solutions to complex federal and state, local, and education cybersecurity and compliance needs.
  • Share field feedback and threat intelligence with Product Management.
  • Promote sales through government contract vehicles, including GSA and SEWP.
  • Represent Claroty’s expertise at public-sector events.
  • Help resolve critical customer escalations.
  • Develop strategies to accelerate Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Provide technical enablement for internal teams, partners, and agency customers.
  • Oversee regional technical pre-sales operations.
  • Design enterprise zero-trust architectures.
  • Mentor solution engineers supporting federal, tribal, and state, local, and education accounts.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of experience as a technical manager, solutions engineering leader, or Field CTO at a cybersecurity product company or in a public-sector practice.
  • Practical expertise in networking, database architecture, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Strong knowledge of public-sector procurement, including federal purchasing cycles, RFP and RFI responses, government contract vehicles such as GSA Schedule, and partnerships with systems integrators and prime contractors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-influencing skills, with an emphasis on inclusive language and collaboration across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and build diverse teams while managing complex proofs of concept, technical evaluations, and sales targets from planning through close.
  • Experience with OT, ICS, or CPS environments, mission-focused work practices, and operational culture in federal, Department of Defense, or state, local, and education agencies.
  • Active security clearance, such as Secret or TS/SCI, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GICSP, or ISA99 Cybersecurity.
  • Working knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards, including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, CJIS, CMMC, DoD Zero Trust Architecture, and IEC 62443.
