Senior Electrical Fleet Support Engineer and RCA Leader (Onsite)

Lead electrical root cause investigations that improve the reliability of GE Vernova’s power-generation fleet. Coordinate failure analysis, vendors, budgets, and cross-functional resolution efforts.

Description

  • Own electrical Root Cause Analysis projects from issue identification and containment through final resolution
  • Investigate both critical and lower-severity electrical problems while balancing rigorous analysis with operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with Fleet Performance, NPI Engineering, Field Services, Sourcing, and Quality as the primary RCA contact
  • Identify task-force expertise and resources, then manage or escalate resource needs as required
  • Track RCA performance metrics, communicate results, and analyze failure data
  • Drive programs that reduce failure rates across generators, transformers, power converters, and other major components
  • Conduct commercial and technical vendor discussions in collaboration with Sourcing
  • Oversee RCA budgets, cost-benefit assessments, and procurement processes, including purchase order creation and approval
  • Provide RCA progress updates to internal leaders and external customers throughout each project

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least four years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Background supporting electrical systems, troubleshooting field problems, or working in service engineering
  • Experience in wind energy, power generation, manufacturing, or another industrial setting is preferred
  • Willingness to travel to wind farms and climb turbines
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Employment visa sponsorship is unavailable now and in the future
  • Practical, hands-on approach to field and product problem solving
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including root cause analysis and technical issue resolution
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and service functions
  • Working knowledge of electrical schematics, components, and bills of materials
  • Ability to act with urgency while managing multiple service priorities
  • Experience resolving defects in field and factory environments
  • Clear communication skills across technical and operational teams
