Senior Contract Specialist - Sandvik

Manage mining equipment service contracts for Sandvik across Brisbane, Orange, and Heatherbrae in an onsite role. Oversee commercial performance, compliance, customer reviews, contract renewals, and end-to-end delivery.

Description

  • Oversee service contracts from initiation through completion against agreed scopes, timelines, and KPIs
  • Coordinate contract mobilisation, implementation, review, and close-out activities
  • Track contract performance, profitability, and compliance requirements
  • Assess operational risks and identify opportunities to improve outcomes
  • Facilitate contract review meetings with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Report on performance, risks, and commercial results
  • Administer contract variations, rate changes, and renewals
  • Prepare business cases and secure required governance approvals
  • Contribute to tenders, contract proposals, and renewal submissions
  • Maintain accurate contract records and reporting to support compliance and audits
  • Resolve contract issues, escalate risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Promote safe work practices consistent with Sandvik’s Environment, Health and Safety standards
  • Help improve contract management processes, systems, and operating practices
  • Develop customer and stakeholder relationships that support durable contract outcomes

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in contract, project, or service management within mobile mining and construction equipment maintenance
  • Strong commercial judgment
  • Ability to balance customer, operational, and commercial priorities
  • Ability to interpret contractual requirements
  • Ability to analyse operational and financial performance
  • Ability to advance innovation across operations
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and influence decisions
  • Ability to resolve issues and manage competing priorities in complex operational settings
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Essential proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Authorisation to live and work in Australia
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
  • Qualifications in project management, business, or a related field are highly regarded
