Senior Civil Engineer, Municipal Projects (Hybrid)
Lead complex municipal and land-development projects at Olsson, providing technical direction, quality oversight, mentoring, and project advisory support.
Description
- Provide senior leadership and technical guidance to the team
- Act as the lead engineer for complex projects
- Apply advanced engineering design expertise
- Implement QA/QC plans for team projects
- Mentor and train team members on technical design practices
- Provide guidance on challenging projects
- Support project management activities as needed
- Review plans and deliverables thoroughly to uphold quality standards
- Develop multidisciplinary preliminary and construction designs for land-development projects, including mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports venue, school, and other site-development projects
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Collaborate productively as part of a team
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Bring at least 10 years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Hold Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Have at least four years of experience supervising technical personnel
- Demonstrate proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals
- Have working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
