Senior Business Analyst (Croatia, Remote)

Senior Business Analyst supporting London Market insurance initiatives at Buckhill Software. The role combines requirements leadership, process improvement, data analysis, AI, automation, and collaboration across delivery teams.

Description

  • Increase visibility of requirements across teams and use delivery and operational data to uncover process inefficiencies
  • Serve as the main business analysis contact, keeping technical business processes aligned across teams
  • Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to understand client needs, turn them into actionable requirements, and maintain project documentation and reporting
  • Lead stakeholder discovery and analysis of business requirements, converting findings into functional specifications and user stories
  • Run requirements workshops and help stakeholders reach agreement on scope
  • Produce business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user manuals to support development
  • Establish acceptance criteria and assist with user acceptance testing and release readiness
  • Assess issues, risk mitigation measures, and the benefits and business impacts of current and proposed solutions
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to confirm that solutions meet business requirements and provide recommendations when needed
  • Find opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and introduce innovative solutions
  • Evaluate how AI and automation could improve internal and client processes, including business cases, risks, and change impacts
  • Apply AI tools to speed up analysis activities, including workshop synthesis, user story and acceptance-criteria drafting, and test-scenario generation, while verifying the accuracy of all final outputs
  • Support junior analysts through mentoring and help strengthen business analysis practices across delivery teams

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in business analysis, analytics, or systems development, preferably in a technology-focused or Agile environment
  • Experience documenting business processes, producing detailed reports, and maintaining accurate, actionable records of requirements and workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including the capacity to interpret complex data and turn insights into practical recommendations
  • Ability to build credibility with stakeholders at every level, including senior business and technical leaders, and explain complex information clearly
  • Confidence using data to support decisions and presenting visualized insights to non-technical audiences
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, innovation, and process enhancement
  • Familiarity with Agile methods and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or comparable requirements-tracking platforms
  • Professional experience using generative AI for analysis, together with a clear understanding of its limitations
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and respond effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience in the London Market, Lloyd's, or the broader insurance industry is desirable
  • Working knowledge of SQL or comparable data-querying tools is desirable
  • Experience with process-modelling standards such as BPMN or UML is desirable
  • A recognized business analysis qualification, such as IIBA CBAP or CCBA or BCS, is desirable
