Senior Azure Cloud Engineer — Hybrid

Design and operate Azure networking, infrastructure, and cloud services for Providence’s large-scale healthcare environment. This full-time hybrid role supports eligible U.S. locations.

Description

  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and program managers from the earliest stages of development
  • Design, operate, scale, and continuously improve large-scale cloud services
  • Configure, manage, and support Azure networking components and enterprise network architectures
  • Design, build, operate, and administer Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
  • Monitor, alert on, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud services
  • Deliver cloud-based services to IS and non-IS caregivers

Requirements

  • Extensive experience configuring and managing Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, and ExpressRoute
  • Senior-level experience designing, engineering, operating, and administering Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
  • Practical experience with cloud monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Several years of hands-on experience with Azure hub-and-spoke networking
  • Experience designing and providing operational support for complex enterprise network architectures
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of related professional experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to guide behavior, process, and prioritization decisions
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning when evaluating alternative solutions and approaches
  • Experience resolving issues through systematic procedures and root cause analysis
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred
  • Experience creating and managing server images with Packer is preferred
  • Experience configuring Desired State Configuration (DSC) with AWX is preferred
  • Knowledge of CIS and NIST security controls is preferred
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow is preferred
