Description

  • Build and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions that address customer needs.
  • Create demos, proofs of concept, MVPs, and workflows to showcase emerging AI and machine learning capabilities.
  • Test new AI and machine learning methods and tools through working prototypes.
  • Integrate and improve open-source tools such as MLflow, Spark, LangChain, and Kubeflow in production environments.
  • Support reliable operation on platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Tune models and algorithms, including deep learning systems, for accuracy, efficiency, and scale.
  • Turn customer needs and industry trends into AI and machine learning improvements for products, data management, and system performance.
  • Work with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to design and deploy solutions.
  • Record procedures and best practices.
  • Lead integrations for emerging AI tools.
  • Mentor junior colleagues.
  • Keep leadership informed about progress and challenges.

Requirements

  • PhD and at least 2 years of relevant industry experience, or equivalent experience with a master’s degree and 4 or more years, or a bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years.
  • Substantial hands-on experience applying machine learning and AI in customer-facing or end-user settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy reliable, performant models in production.
  • Experience with open-source AI and machine learning tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with backend programming languages, including Python and Go.
  • Proficiency in developing, using, and maintaining AI agents.
  • Experience coding agents for automation or decision-making tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for asynchronous collaboration.
  • Preferred: experience with AI agents and automation.
  • Preferred: knowledge of inference deployment and optimization.
  • Preferred: familiarity with large-scale data pipelines.
  • Preferred: experience with retrieval-augmented systems such as RAG.
