Sales Manager, Compact Hydropower — ANDRITZ, Switzerland

Lead sales development and project acquisition for ANDRITZ’s compact hydropower business in Switzerland, with a focus on South American markets. Coordinate tenders, technical proposals, partnerships, negotiations, and customer relationships from early project development through execution handover.

Description

  • Develop and acquire hydropower plant and rehabilitation projects supporting sustainable energy generation and storage, covering systems up to approximately 40 MW per turbine-generator unit
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary tender teams across technical, commercial, and legal functions from project initiation through bid preparation, contract negotiation, and handover to execution
  • Create and execute sales strategies involving alternative technical concepts, supply chain solutions, and partnerships
  • Own technical solutions, cost calculations, and competitive proposal preparation in line with customer specifications and ANDRITZ standards
  • Assess technical and commercial project risks with relevant departments and define mitigation measures
  • Manage communications with customers, consultants, partners, specialist teams, and senior management

Requirements

  • University degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of sales experience are desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal and external professional networks
  • Understanding of technically complex subjects, commercial considerations, and contractual matters
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • German or additional foreign-language skills are advantageous
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with people on challenging international projects
  • Strong commitment, empathy, goal orientation, and team spirit
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
