Remote Accounts Receivable Clerk – South Africa

Manage customer invoicing, payment allocation, ledger reconciliations and overdue collections for a UK business. This fully remote role is based in South Africa and follows UK working hours.

Description

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit notes.
  • Apply customer payments and reconcile account balances.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts by email and phone.
  • Compile debtor ageing reports.
  • Handle invoice queries with customers and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate debtor records for a UK business.
  • Manage invoicing and support timely customer payments.

Requirements

  • Background in accounts receivable, debtors or credit control.
  • Experience using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Strong Excel ability and numeracy.
  • Professional written English communication.
  • Careful, reliable approach to work.
  • Experience with UK VAT invoicing.
  • Familiarity with Stripe or GoCardless.
  • Experience supporting month-end close.
