Onsite Data Center Associate – RMA A Shift

Supports server installation, rack cabling, freight handling, inventory control, and returns processing in an onsite data center environment. Works with customers and site stakeholders while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards.

Description

  • Manage material orders, customer service activities, inventory, and requests to move customer materials.
  • Assemble and install servers and electronic components with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Load and unload freight arriving at and leaving the facility.
  • Inspect freight, part numbers, quantities, and material condition for quality and accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts and replenish critical data center spare-parts inventory.
  • Process return shipments through warehouse management systems.
  • Position server racks on the data center floor using laser measurement equipment.
  • Install electronic components, cabling, and rack hardware from diagrams and schematics.
  • Operate straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks.
  • Keep the work area safe, organized, clean, and compliant with 5S standards.
  • Follow safety and operating procedures while supporting cross-training across data center departments.
  • Communicate with customers and onsite stakeholders.

Requirements

  • One to three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Critical thinking and analytical capability.
  • Comfort working with computers.
  • Understanding of electrical safety, static discharge risks, and related procedures.
  • Ability to perform all essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Successful completion of applicable federal, state, local, airport, or company background checks, clearances, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift frequently during the workday.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring and laser measurement equipment, material-handling machinery, and warehouse management systems.
