Lead Field Engineer – Baker Hughes, Perth (Onsite)

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to support energy clients through equipment deployment, rig-site troubleshooting, tender preparation, and invoicing. The role is part of an Emerging Talent Program for recent engineering graduates.

Description

  • Coordinate tool and service deployment with crews, customers, and shore-based Operations Managers
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues through hands-on work at rig sites
  • Prepare, document, and process equipment and product shipments to and from well sites
  • Support tender activities through data analysis and cost estimation
  • Complete invoicing tasks
  • Participate in job shadowing to build a broad understanding of the business
  • Lead crews during equipment installation, maintenance, and startup
  • Help deliver jobsite services that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Serve as the liaison between on-site teams and the client

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed within the past 36 months in engineering, engineering technology, mathematics, chemistry, geosciences, or a related field
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Legal authorization to work in the application country without company sponsorship or time restrictions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to provide guidance to others
  • Leadership, critical-thinking, and numerical skills
  • Capabilities in data analysis and project management
  • Recent graduate eligible for the approximately 36-month Emerging Talent Program
