Lead Business Process Engineer, Virginia Remote

Lead business process improvement and modernization initiatives for federal agencies, covering process models, business cases, KPIs, and transformation strategy. Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to improve mission-focused operations.

Description

  • Direct business process analysis, re-engineering, and continuous improvement programs
  • Assess and document current-state operations, workflows, information systems, and organizational processes
  • Design future-state process models and implementation approaches
  • Coordinate information systems analysis, process modernization, technology integration, and organizational transformation efforts
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, interviews, and working sessions to capture and prioritize requirements
  • Identify organizational and program risks, dependencies, and constraints, then develop recommendations
  • Define performance baselines, KPIs, and process measurement methods
  • Create and standardize process documentation, governance materials, SOPs, business rules, workflows, process guides, and operating frameworks
  • Develop and assess financial models, cost estimates, business cases, ROI analyses, and cost-reduction plans
  • Advise on information systems, automation, technology capabilities, implementation methods, operational effects, risks, and costs
  • Convert business needs into functional requirements while collaborating with engineers, developers, architects, and technical teams
  • Direct large-scale technology and business improvement projects
  • Recommend change management, implementation, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption strategies
  • Review project and organizational performance data and propose improvements
  • Act as a technical authority and subject matter expert across multiple programs
  • Mentor junior analysts and project staff, provide technical direction, and potentially supervise personnel and project work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, systems engineering, management information systems, or a related field
  • At least eight years of professional experience in business process re-engineering, process modeling, operational analysis, or continuous improvement
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it within the required timeframe
  • Experience leading complex process analysis, business transformation, and technology modernization initiatives
  • Thorough knowledge of information systems, systems analysis, process improvement methods, and project management principles
  • Experience with financial analysis, cost estimation, business cases, and performance measurement
  • Ability to assess operational requirements, evaluate risks, and develop strategic responses to complex business and technical issues
  • Ability to independently lead major assignments with limited oversight across multiple stakeholders and functional areas
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
  • U.S. employment authorization that does not currently or later require ITC visa sponsorship
