Junior-Intermediate Manufacturing Designer

Develop manufacturing designs, technical drawings, and bills of material from concept through production. Support production, quality, vendors, and customers while meeting regulatory and contractual requirements.

Description

  • Deliver design assignments, bill-of-material releases, and projects through production implementation
  • Organize assigned work around schedules, supplier timelines, and production lead times
  • Track task progress and log time spent on each assignment
  • Develop designs, technical summaries, and contract documentation aligned with customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities
  • Apply applicable design standards and regulatory requirements
  • Perform or coordinate controlled testing for components and installations
  • Prepare technical drawings and release documentation in line with engineering procedures and ENAs
  • Provide engineering assistance to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other teams
  • Resolve design-related matters with vendors and customers
  • Secure vendor approval records for new installations or applications when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist designation
  • One to five years of experience in a related engineering position
  • Manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Strong CAD/Unigraphics and drafting experience
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and communication abilities
  • Able to work independently and travel to Canada as required, under 5% of the time.
