International B2B Credit Controller (Hybrid, Barcelona)
Manage international B2B receivables for Alea by resolving overdue balances, negotiating payment arrangements, and reporting collection results to the CFO.
Description
- Manage a portfolio of international B2B clients and secure payment of overdue balances
- Rank accounts according to risk and outstanding value
- Select appropriate actions, from reminders and calls to account-manager escalation, formal notices, or service suspension
- Work with Account Managers on clients presenting credit risk
- Negotiate payment plans when appropriate
- Record each case in the internal collections system
- Provide the CFO with collection reporting covering DSO, overdue ageing, and recovery of at-risk balances
- Follow established credit and escalation procedures
- Identify ineffective procedures and recommend improvements
Requirements
- Bring 3–6 years of experience in B2B credit control, collections, or accounts receivable, preferably with international customers
- Negotiate confidently in English with finance departments and business owners
- Have experience managing customers billed through multiple entities or currencies
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
- Use sound judgement to determine when to pursue, escalate, or allow additional time
- Take responsibility for accounts and work effectively without close supervision
- Experience in iGaming, payments, or fintech is advantageous but not essential
- Spanish or Catalan language skills are advantageous
