Hotel Engineer II - Cary, NC

Maintain building systems, hotel equipment, and guest-facing facilities across two Cary properties. Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues for Parks Hospitality Group.

Description

  • Maintain the physical condition of Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh Cary and DoubleTree Raleigh Cary
  • Complete routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC servicing
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose equipment problems and carry out repairs to reduce downtime
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work, work orders, inspections, and equipment service schedules
  • Support maintenance inventory management and reorder supplies when necessary
  • Handle guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally
  • Follow safety and security requirements, including procedures for hazardous materials and equipment
  • Help train and mentor other maintenance team members
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in maintenance or construction, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Working knowledge of building maintenance principles and practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities when working with guests and colleagues
  • Capacity to work independently with limited supervision
  • Technical training or certification in a relevant trade is a plus
