FPS Game Designer – Belgrade (Hybrid)

Design and refine major features and gameplay systems for AAA first-person shooters at Sperasoft. Partner with directors, engineers, artists, and producers on creative direction, balance, and gameplay tuning.

Description

  • Partner with the Game Director and design team on decisions for a large-scale AAA first-person shooter
  • Define, champion, and communicate the vision for major features, design initiatives, and substantial gameplay revisions
  • Facilitate brainstorming workshops and playtest sessions
  • Collaborate with engineers, artists, and producers to shape, tune, and implement gameplay direction
  • Own complex, high-impact areas of the game with limited supervision
  • Review internal and external metrics and feedback to refine design and rebalance gameplay as needed
  • Support prototyping, game balance, and moment-to-moment gameplay tuning

Requirements

  • Professional game design experience on first- or third-person shooter titles
  • End-to-end, multidisciplinary development experience, including at least one shipped game credited to you as a designer
  • Working knowledge of 3D level and game design tools, especially Unreal Engine 5
  • Strong creative judgment and close attention to both technical and artistic detail
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with project management practices and related software
  • A passionate gamer with broad enthusiasm for games
  • Fluent English for verbal, written, and technical communication
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background
