Enterprise Cloud Engineer - Azure and Databricks | Bunzl Distribution NA | Onsite

Build and operate Bunzl Distribution NA’s Azure and Databricks data platform in an onsite enterprise cloud engineering role. Support governed analytics, automation, reporting, and future AI initiatives across North America.

Description

  • Design and optimize scalable Azure and Databricks infrastructure and administration solutions
  • Support enterprise ETL and ELT pipelines, ingestion frameworks, data transformations, and Databricks applications
  • Establish and enforce user policies that promote consistent platform best practices
  • Administer Databricks operations, including monitoring, security, performance, and cost management
  • Develop automated CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver governed, production-ready data assets
  • Advance enterprise practices for data quality, metadata, lineage, governance, and access control
  • Help build the platform foundation for advanced analytics, AI, and future data enablement programs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
  • At least two years of hands-on Azure Databricks experience
  • At least three years of experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Five or more years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or platform engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and distributed data processing
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
  • Practical experience with CI/CD, DevOps methods, and cloud automation
  • Solid knowledge of data governance, security, and operational support
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, Python, SQL, PySpark, CI/CD automation, data governance, Power BI integration, and enterprise Lakehouse architecture
  • Preferred certifications include Databricks Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer DP-203, or Azure Solutions Architect AZ-305
  • Experience with enterprise data migrations, ERP integrations, cloud modernization, AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics platforms
