Embedded Engineer (STM32/C) – Gdańsk, Poland Onsite

Develop secure STM32 firmware in C for Kidde Global Solutions’ global security products. Work across connectivity, cybersecurity, real-time systems, and high-volume manufacturing.

Description

  • Develop C firmware for wired and wireless security devices
  • Implement secure device communications and firmware update capabilities
  • Improve device performance, memory usage, power consumption, and reliability
  • Support products designed to meet professional security standards, including EN50131 Grade 3
  • Create firmware for STM32-based security devices
  • Help build reusable embedded platforms for multiple product families
  • Develop across bare-metal, RTOS-based, and embedded Linux environments
  • Contribute to firmware architecture discussions alongside senior engineers
  • Debug issues, investigate faults, and identify root causes with professional development tools
  • Partner with Hardware, QA, Product Management, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support verification, validation, certification, and manufacturing work
  • Take part in code reviews and ongoing improvements to development practices
  • Share knowledge with global engineering teams and promote consistent implementation
  • Support products from initial concept through global mass production

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least three years of embedded-systems firmware development experience
  • Strong programming skills in C
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Understanding of bare-metal or RTOS-based embedded development
  • Experience debugging embedded systems with standard development tools
  • Understanding of embedded communication interfaces and protocols
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Gdańsk, Poland
