Data Engineer (Hybrid) – Kyndryl, Granada, Spain

Join Kyndryl as a Data Engineer in Granada, building RAG pipelines, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and semantic data layers. You will help maintain dependable AI data infrastructure for enterprise technology systems.

Description

  • Design and expand Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
  • Convert unstructured IT logs and documentation into efficient vector embeddings
  • Monitor and optimize vector database performance across platforms such as Pinecone, Milvus, and Weaviate
  • Create knowledge graphs and semantic data layers
  • Implement automated guardrails to identify noise, bias, and personally identifiable information
  • Trace data-quality problems to their source and drive resolution
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure
  • Keep data context accurate, current, and dependable

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in data mining, data storage, and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes
  • Experience designing data pipelines with tools such as Glue, Databricks, Synapse, or Dataproc
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities
  • Capacity to oversee multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues and convert business needs into technical requirements
  • Preferred: background as a Data Engineer or in cloud modernization
  • Preferred: experience with data modelling
  • Preferred: professional certification such as Open Certified Technical Specialist with Data Engineering Specialization
  • Preferred: cloud certification such as AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, Elastic Certified Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Preferred: familiarity with GitHub and Visual Studio
  • Preferred: degree in a scientific field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
