Construction Liability Claims Representative - St. Paul Hybrid | Travelers

Travelers seeks a construction liability claims representative to manage coverage reviews, investigations, negotiations, and settlements. This hybrid position supports policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders.

Description

  • Oversee the timely and accurate handling, assessment, and processing of claims
  • Manage construction claims from customer contact and coverage review through investigation, evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution
  • Gather information and share updates with policyholders, claimants, providers, and other stakeholders
  • Assess claim eligibility, coverage, liability, and appropriate settlement values
  • Keep claim files and transaction records complete, accurate, and up to date
  • Recognize potential fraud or complex matters and refer them for additional investigation
  • Work with investigators, legal, customer service, and other internal teams to coordinate claim resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least three years of insurance claims experience, preferably involving construction claims
  • Familiarity with claims management processes and related software systems
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and terminology, with the ability to interpret and explain policy provisions
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex claims and negotiating settlements
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on positive experiences for insureds and claimants
  • One year of bodily injury liability, liability, or property claims experience, or successful completion of the Travelers Claim Representative training program
