Clinical Account Executive, Oncology — North Carolina Remote

Lead oncology account strategy for AbbVie across North Carolina, supporting products for chronic lymphocytic leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Build healthcare partnerships and use data-informed territory planning to drive execution.

Description

  • Lead strategic activities across the assigned territory
  • Create and implement a territory business plan that reflects brand priorities and local customer needs
  • Develop trusted partnerships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and other key account contacts
  • Conduct compliant, customer-centered engagements grounded in strong scientific and clinical knowledge
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to provide a consistent customer experience
  • Use performance data, customer feedback, and business analytics to improve territory execution
  • Demonstrate integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction
  • Complete required training and follow company policies and OEC and Legal procedures
  • Build ongoing clinical, commercial, and leadership capabilities
  • Advance brand priorities and business objectives for CLL and NHL oncology products
  • Report to the Senior District Manager

Requirements

  • At least five years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or diagnostics markets
  • Demonstrated ability to compete effectively in sales situations
  • Comfort working as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Persistence and resilience demonstrated in challenging business environments
  • Access to a personal vehicle or a company car or truck
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and satisfy safe-driving standards
  • Willingness to travel regularly by air or car for business
  • Ability to satisfy healthcare-industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and immunization or vaccination records
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred, particularly in hematologic malignancies
  • Account management experience in any industry
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy
  • Healthcare-sector experience, especially patient-facing work or consulting for healthcare organizations
  • People-management or other leadership experience
  • MBA or another advanced degree
