Certified Peer Support Specialist - Washington (Hybrid)

Support Washington members through recovery planning, screenings, referrals, and community-based care as a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Mindoula provides behavioral health services centered on people rather than diagnoses.

Description

  • Serve as a recovery role model for individuals experiencing substance-exposed living and people at different stages of recovery
  • Use Substance Use Disorder Program guidelines to plan care, assess needs, and conduct screenings
  • Connect members with suitable resources and services
  • Collaborate with the Substance Use Disorder Program team, primary care providers, managed care organizations, and community agencies
  • Assess individual member needs and record interventions informed by relationships and assessments
  • Support members across varied settings and assist with support groups when needed
  • Participate in case management meetings
  • Document member contacts, touches, cancellations, and care plans accurately
  • Communicate professionally with members, families, physicians, community agencies, agency leaders, and office staff
  • Use the established chain of command to communicate concerns and recommendations
  • Meet assigned goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Represent and promote Mindoula and its Substance Use Disorder program through community, professional, and outreach activities
  • Help resolve conflicts promptly while treating others fairly and respectfully
  • Assist team members with their responsibilities
  • Take part in performance improvement initiatives and processes
  • Manage Mindoula resources responsibly and ethically
  • Maintain dependable punctuality and attendance
  • Work with the enrollment team to increase member census and identify eligible members for enrollment
  • Complete other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Hold full Washington State certification as a Peer Support Specialist
  • Have successfully completed a recovery program
  • Bring relevant lived experience
  • Demonstrate compassion and a strong commitment to helping people experiencing substance-exposed living make positive changes
  • Possess strong organizational abilities
  • Use effective problem-solving skills
