Certified Peer Support Specialist - Washington Hybrid

Support Washington members in Mindoula’s substance use disorder program through care planning, resource coordination, and recovery guidance.

Description

  • Model recovery-oriented support for individuals affected by substance use and people at different stages of recovery
  • Apply Substance Use Disorder Program guidelines to plan care, evaluate client needs, and conduct screenings
  • Connect clients with suitable community and program resources
  • Coordinate care with program staff, primary care providers, managed care organizations, and community agencies
  • Assess member needs and record interventions informed by relationships and assessments
  • Support members across varied settings and assist with support groups when needed
  • Participate in case management meetings
  • Document member contacts, interactions, cancellations, and care plans
  • Communicate professionally with members, families, physicians, community agencies, leadership, and office staff
  • Use the established chain of command to raise concerns and recommendations
  • Meet assigned goals and key performance indicators
  • Represent Mindoula and its Substance Use Disorder program through community, professional, and outreach activities
  • Take part in conflict resolution and performance improvement initiatives
  • Assist teammates with their responsibilities
  • Use Mindoula’s resources responsibly and ethically
  • Work with the enrollment team to increase member census and identify eligible members
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Hold full Peer Support Specialist certification in Washington State
  • Have successfully completed a recovery program
  • Bring lived experience
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to helping people affected by substance use
  • Maintain strong organizational abilities
  • Apply effective problem-solving skills
  • Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance during working hours
