Business Intelligence Analyst - United States Remote

Develop Salesforce reporting, data products, and AI-enabled automation for UAMS healthcare operations. Apply SQL, ETL, data modeling, and governance practices to deliver reliable business intelligence solutions.

Description

  • Build, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot Salesforce reports, dashboards, datasets, queries, and related reporting solutions
  • Clarify stakeholder requirements and turn business questions into accurate reports and data products
  • Define and document reporting logic, calculations, assumptions, data definitions, and source-to-report relationships
  • Manage a standardized report library covering naming, ownership, documentation, access controls, and retirement
  • Create reusable data models, reporting components, and standardized datasets
  • Handle ad hoc and specialized reporting requests while identifying opportunities for standardized or self-service solutions
  • Design, configure, test, and monitor AI-assisted and automated reporting workflows
  • Create prompts, instructions, templates, business rules, structured outputs, evaluation criteria, and human-review checkpoints
  • Assess emerging capabilities in AI, analytics, and automation
  • Review AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, consistency, security, bias, and compliance
  • Document the capabilities, limitations, dependencies, risks, and support needs of AI-assisted processes
  • Train and assist staff in the responsible use of reporting, automation, and AI tools
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines, integrations, APIs, scheduled processes, and data loads
  • Use SQL and ETL tools to extract, transform, reconcile, and validate data
  • Create automated quality checks, exception reports, monitoring, and alerts
  • Diagnose and resolve reporting, integration, data-access, connectivity, and performance problems
  • Work with system administrators, data owners, vendors, and institutional technology teams
  • Support data governance, metadata management, privacy, security, retention, documentation, and change-control practices
  • Advise end users and recommend reporting, analytical, or automated solutions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, or a related field with two years of experience in data analysis, database management, reporting development, or business intelligence; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with six years of relevant experience
  • Professional experience with at least two of the following: SQL, data warehousing, semantic data models, or Epic Clarity
  • At least one year of experience providing technical solutions in a client-facing role
  • Proficiency with SQL and ETL tools
  • Experience creating Salesforce CRM reports and dashboards
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing principles and database structures
  • Familiarity with data integration processes and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Preferred: knowledge of automation, AI-assisted tools, prompt design, and process improvement methods
  • Preferred: certification in Salesforce, SQL, or data analytics
  • Preferred: knowledge of vector or graph databases
