Associate Risk Analyst - The Hartford (Hybrid)

Support The Hartford’s enterprise risk management and financial risk analysis activities as an Associate Risk Analyst. Build expertise across insurance, financial, and operational risk while developing tools to measure and monitor exposure.

Description

  • Apply risk management methods to strengthen measurement of product-specific and broader financial market risks
  • Develop detailed knowledge of one or more insurance product lines
  • Learn how corporate profitability goals and risk tolerance shape risk decisions
  • Build working knowledge of regulatory requirements and Stat, GAAP, and economic accounting for relevant products and strategies
  • Expand understanding of the global economy and capital markets
  • Gain exposure to asset-liability, equity, interest-rate, currency, longevity and mortality, operational, product design, policyholder behavior, and reinsurance risk management
  • Help create and use advanced tools for measuring and monitoring risks across the firm

Requirements

  • Expected graduation in May
  • Interest in building a career in Enterprise Risk Management
  • Evidence of leadership potential through academic projects and extracurricular involvement
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and research abilities
  • Able to collaborate effectively and influence peers in a team environment
  • Able to evaluate complex issues and provide sound recommendations in a fast-paced setting
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent at graduation
