Description

  • Build, test, deploy, and maintain resilient Python applications across Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Compute Engine.
  • Create scalable microservices and event-driven architectures with Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, and Eventarc.
  • Develop and optimize authenticated, versioned REST APIs with FastAPI and gRPC services.
  • Produce modular, maintainable Python code using PEP 8, static typing, and established engineering practices.
  • Contribute to technical design reviews, sprint planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
  • Create and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code solutions.
  • Configure and support CI/CD workflows with Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Deploy, and GitHub Actions.
  • Set up monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting through Google Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Trace.
  • Support enterprise data services including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Storage.
  • Apply secure cloud architecture principles using IAM, workload identity federation, and least-privilege access.
  • Use Claude Code and other AI coding assistants for development, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
  • Design prompts and workflows that produce reliable, scalable, production-ready code.
  • Assess AI-generated code for quality, maintainability, and security before adoption.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to create test frameworks, OpenAPI documentation, and developer resources.
  • Help advance AI-enabled software development lifecycle practices.
  • Perform application security assessments with Bandit, Semgrep, Snyk, and SonarQube.
  • Apply OWASP-aligned secure coding, input validation, and API security practices.
  • Manage credentials and secrets with Google Secret Manager and Cloud KMS.
  • Maintain compliance with enterprise standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA when applicable.

Requirements

  • Professional fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three to five years of professional software development experience building enterprise applications.
  • Strong command of Python 3.10+ and modern application frameworks such as FastAPI.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming, object-oriented design, and API development.
  • Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage.
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Experience creating automated tests with pytest, unittest, or comparable frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
  • Preferred: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer certification.
  • Preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Preferred: Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, Deltek Vantagepoint, or Ironclad.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Vertex AI, Document AI, Gemini APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other AI/ML frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience with container security, Binary Authorization, Kubernetes security controls, and runtime monitoring.
  • Preferred: Contributions to open-source projects, Python packages, or cloud-native development tools.
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge of secure software development and application security principles.
