Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid, California)
Deploy and operate AI reasoning systems across client cloud environments. Own Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, MLOps, security, and reliability for regulated institutional investors.
विवरण
- Deploy a cloud-native platform across AWS, GCP, and Azure client environments, including multi-region and data-residency configurations
- Address security and architecture questions from client IT teams
- Co-own AWS and GCP infrastructure, including EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, Cloud Run, networking, IAM, secrets management, and GitOps delivery
- Operate the research platform for evaluation and training with proprietary, open-source, and managed services such as Vertex AI, SageMaker, and Bedrock, supported by GPU compute and storage
- Build CI/CD pipelines, observability, and alerting that support daily releases and identify issues before clients do
- Create rapid prototypes and strengthen existing prototypes for production use
- Provide Forward Deployed Engineers with tooling for comparable work in client environments
- Contribute to compliance and security initiatives by ensuring audit evidence reflects platform operations
- Support platform engineering, MLOps, and internal generative AI tooling
- Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Document infrastructure trade-offs and monitor reliability, uptime, and cost
- Work with product, engineering, and science teams across client deployments, the internal platform, and research infrastructure
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least 7 years of experience designing and operating production cloud infrastructure, including 5 or more years at senior level or above
- Deep expertise in AWS or GCP, with hands-on experience using both
- Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD experience, including GitOps with ArgoCD or a comparable tool
- Experience with cloud networking and security, including VPCs, private connectivity, IAM, zero-trust access, encryption, secrets management, and multi-region deployments with data-residency requirements
- Experience deploying systems into enterprise customer clouds in finance, healthcare, defense, or another regulated sector
- Experience operating within SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or a comparable control framework
- Experience building foundational infrastructure at an early-stage company or owning infrastructure end to end on a small team
- Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation, plus daily use of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code
- Ability to explain designs and trade-offs clearly to engineers, scientists, and client security teams while adapting to changing priorities
- Preferred: Experience with Azure or Oracle Cloud
- Preferred: Experience with machine learning and GPU infrastructure
- Preferred: Experience building infrastructure for LLM and agent systems
- Preferred: Experience with workflow tools such as Temporal, Airflow, Argo Workflows, or Tekton
- Preferred: Full-stack or agentic application development experience, or research experience in machine learning or reinforcement learning
- Preferred: Go or another systems programming language
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience operating production systems against reliability and uptime targets
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
