- Lead the NPD and Innovation team
- Direct the conception and development of new products
- Partner closely with Founder Trinny Woodall and the wider business
- Set Trinny London’s innovation vision and future product direction
- Convert breakthrough science, emerging technologies, customer insight, and ambitious ideas into industry-leading products
- Own the complete NPD and Innovation process from ideation through formulation, clinical validation, development, and launch
- Create a technically advanced and commercially strong innovation pipeline
- Source breakthrough ingredients, technologies, formats, delivery systems, formulation methods, clinical science, and emerging skin-health opportunities
- Monitor scientific research, technology, consumer behaviour, ingredient innovation, and competitor activity
- Turn complex scientific and technical developments into clear brand opportunities
- Manage product lifecycles from initial inspiration through formulation, manufacturing, and commercial launch
- Set technical direction for formulation, texture engineering, and sensory performance
- Establish testing protocols for claims, stability, and safety assessments
- Set regulatory strategies and oversee technical documentation, safety assessments, and registrations
- Develop an external innovation network of formulators, manufacturers, ingredient innovators, laboratories, and technical partners
- Manage NPD budgets and COGS
- Lead, develop, and motivate the NPD team
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Commercial, Operations, and the Leadership Team
- Strengthen the wider business’s technical capability and guide key product decisions

- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in beauty-sector NPD
- Extensive experience creating skincare products, engineering formulas, or advancing cosmetics within the beauty and wellness industry
- Specialist expertise in skincare formulation
- Track record of leading high-performing Product and Formulation teams
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or a related scientific or technical discipline is strongly preferred
- Commercially minded and customer-focused innovator who can deliver ideas within deadlines and budget margins
- Record of developing and successfully launching award-winning or commercially disruptive skincare products from concept to market
- Strong understanding of global cosmetic regulations, labelling requirements, safety protocols, and claims-testing methods
- Confident, influential communicator able to engage stakeholders at every level, including the Founder and C-suite
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, agile environment while maintaining detail, organisation, and executional discipline
- Based in London; international candidates are welcome, with relocation support and visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
