Senior Product Manager

  • Shape strategy and three-year lifecycle plans for key product categories
  • Create short- and long-range product plans that support growth and profit goals
  • Set and deliver annual plans for major product lines
  • Recommend growth strategies informed by competition, internal strengths, and capabilities to build
  • Find and rank opportunities across product improvements, line extensions, new markets, merchandising, promotions, and other growth areas
  • Guide product portfolios through launches, updates, promotions, and end-of-life decisions
  • Oversee timely marketing execution for product launches, updates, and promotions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and departments, and mentor developing product managers
  • Track market insights from sales teams, distributors, and end users; conduct research when needed
  • Spend 10% of working time in the field understanding customer needs and record activities and time spent
  • Act as the product authority on performance, functionality, pricing, packaging, merchandising, and value propositions
  • Support other company teams with product-related needs
  • Prepare monthly reports on major product line results against plan, with corrective steps and growth recommendations
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Talablar

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related technical field plus five years of relevant consumer goods product management experience
  • Alternatively, three years of product management experience combined with five years of other relevant business experience
  • An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of managing budgets, forecasts, and business plans to meet financial objectives
  • Knowledge of assessing and supporting growth opportunities, launching product lines, and using a stage-gate development process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to understand basic financial calculations and simple market research methods
  • Basic ability to implement marketing activities such as public relations, advertising, promotions, point-of-purchase materials, and packaging
  • Ability to develop strategic plans for pricing, brand positioning, and competitive analysis with limited guidance
  • Exposure to manufacturing and sourcing supply chains
  • Basic project management skills
  • Ability to contribute as an initiative-taking, accountable team member and influence cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed
