  • Lead and develop a team of four business development managers.
  • Drive outside sales for electrical and controls engineering and project management services.
  • Sell repair solutions and new equipment to end users, contractors, OEMs, and engineering firms.
  • Oversee territory sales, organic growth, and new-customer development against a $50 million annual sales budget.
  • Execute direct sales and business development initiatives to achieve or surpass targets.
  • Create the sales strategy for the company’s engineering and controls business.
  • Develop estimates, proposals, and sales presentations.
  • Build strategic account relationships and monitor changes and opportunities.
  • Contribute to road shows, national conferences, trade shows, sales training, and industry organizations.
  • Support accounts across sales, purchase orders, terms and conditions, and customer relationships.
  • Conduct job walks and qualify opportunities as the primary link between sales and production.
  • Support lunch-and-learns and facilitate customer discussions.
  • Partner with Customer Service to improve the customer purchasing experience.
  • Keep industry and technical expertise current with market needs.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industrial service sales experience in engineering consulting, project management services, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a related industry.
  • Experience with automation and control systems, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI; industrial networks; low- and medium-voltage systems; electrical construction work packages; commissioning and start-ups; and power systems such as arc flash and coordination.
  • Energetic, goal-focused team contributor with strong internal and external communication, forecasting, and solution-selling abilities.
  • Industry knowledge in agri-food, power generation, oil and gas, mining, or petrochemical sectors preferred.
  • Sales or production experience in construction, outages, or project management preferred.
  • Experience with consultative engineering, detailed engineering and design, NERC program management, and testing services preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel domestically 50% of the time.
