Ruby Ruby on Rails

Descriere

Build and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails backend applications.
Partner with product managers and engineering colleagues to turn requirements into technical solutions.
Plan integrations, break down development work, and estimate effort.
Create features and improve existing application capabilities.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, well-tested production code.
Contribute to pull requests, peer reviews, and software testing.
Diagnose application issues and strengthen performance, reliability, and scalability.
Take part in architecture discussions, technical decisions, and product roadmap planning.
Lead complex backend features from requirements through deployment.
Find and remove technical bottlenecks as demand increases.
Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and development approaches.
Work with distributed engineering, infrastructure, SRE, and product teams.
Improve development processes, code quality, and system architecture.

Cerințe

At least five years of commercial experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer.
Recent, hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications with Ruby on Rails.
Ability to independently design, build, and deliver complex backend features.
Experience with applications serving thousands or more monthly active users.
Strong knowledge of scalable backend architecture, application performance, and system reliability.
Experience delivering software through the full lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing and production deployment.
Background in a technology startup, scale-up, or similarly fast-paced agile environment.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and uphold strong engineering standards.
Sound grounding in software engineering principles, clean code, and automated testing.
Experience reviewing code and collaborating across development teams.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to technical problems.
Ability to work independently, own technical deliverables, and contribute to engineering decisions.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience working effectively with international, fully remote teams.
Based in Europe and able to overlap with CET by up to three hours.
