Senior Industrial Data Solution Architect | Rockwell Automation | Hybrid Australia

Rockwell Automation is seeking a senior solution architect to lead industrial data architecture and client delivery in a hybrid Australia-based role. The position spans Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk platforms, cloud and edge technologies, integrations, and technical leadership.

Descriere

  • Own solution architecture and technical delivery for industrial data engagements
  • Lead engagement teams while defining solution architectures and integration strategies
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for clients deploying industrial data platforms
  • Design and implement scalable data solutions with Rockwell and partner technologies, including Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, and FactoryTalk Optix
  • Work with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn industrial challenges into digital solutions
  • Lead the design of end-to-end industrial data solutions
  • Define data models, integration patterns, and system architectures that support business objectives
  • Create architectures using industrial data management solutions, cloud platforms, and edge data ingestion technologies
  • Protect the scalability, security, and performance of deployed solutions
  • Assess client business needs and convert them into technical requirements
  • Explain architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Direct client-facing project implementations
  • Support development teams throughout implementation
  • Oversee data ingestion, contextualization, and visualization workflows
  • Build ingestion pipelines, APIs, and integration services
  • Set development standards, CI/CD practices, and code quality expectations
  • Maintain quality assurance and adherence to established best practices
  • Track developments in leading data platforms and relevant industry trends
  • Mentor junior architects, developers, and engineers
  • Share knowledge internally and contribute to organizational best practices

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Typically 6–10 years of related experience in a systems integration or consulting organization
  • Strong practical knowledge of industrial data systems, including historians, SCADA, PLCs, MES, and ERP
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing client-facing delivery
  • Preferred: At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, or software development
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, PTC ThingWorx, or comparable industrial data platforms
  • Preferred: Proficiency with cloud technologies, APIs, and data modeling
  • Preferred: Experience using Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs
  • Preferred: Familiarity with time-series data and contextualization techniques
  • Preferred: Knowledge of industrial sectors such as mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, or energy
  • Preferred: Certifications in cloud and industrial data platforms
  • Preferred: Previous consulting or systems integration experience
  • Preferred: Familiarity with machine learning model development and MLOps practices
  • Preferred: Understanding of data governance, access management, and cybersecurity in industrial environments
  • Preferred: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage executive and technical stakeholders
  • Preferred: Experience with asset performance management, production monitoring, or advanced process control
