- Lead and develop Area Directors of Operations and General Managers across a territory of about 15 clubs.
- Improve territory results in profitability, membership growth, new member sales, average EFT, labor, retention, and member experience.
- Assess financial and operating results, identify opportunities, and follow through on sustained action plans.
- Set accountability for operating standards, business outcomes, leadership effectiveness, and company priorities.
- Develop leadership capacity and succession plans for Area Director, General Manager, and Assistant General Manager roles.
- Select and staff General Managers and Assistant General Managers, including for new club openings.
- Manage territory results against approved operating, payroll, and expense budgets, taking corrective action as needed.
- Ensure operational training is delivered, reinforced, and put into practice.
- Maintain club standards for member experience, cleanliness, safety, facilities, service, and execution.
- Oversee club execution of retail programs, including sales goals, merchandising, and inventory controls.
- Work with Personal Training, Group Fitness, Retail, Facilities, People & Culture, Finance, Marketing, Presale, and New Club Operations teams.
- Support club development from presale through pre-opening, including selection, training, staffing readiness, and coordination.
- Take responsibility for operations on opening day and guide each new club into ongoing operations.
- Provide direct leadership during performance issues, leadership changes, openings, acquisitions, and other periods needing additional support.
- Visit markets and clubs regularly to maintain a strong presence across the territory.
Cerințe
- Bring at least 7 years of progressive multi-unit operations leadership, preferably in fitness, hospitality, retail, membership services, or another high-volume consumer business.
- Have experience leading multi-unit or regional leaders as well as individual location managers.
- Show success managing a substantial portfolio and improving revenue, profitability, growth, labor results, and customer or member experience.
- Demonstrate a strong record of developing leaders and strengthening leadership pipelines.
- Apply financial expertise to interpret P&Ls, budgets, operating metrics, forecasts, and performance trends.
- Identify performance gaps quickly, set priorities, and drive accountability across leadership levels.
- Bring executive presence, sound judgment, strong communication, and the ability to influence across functions.
- Experience with new location openings, market expansion, acquisitions, integrations, or major operational transitions is preferred.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization with geographically dispersed teams.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field is preferred; substantial relevant leadership experience may substitute.
- Hold a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, and be able to travel frequently throughout the territory.
- Be able to travel generally 50% or more, including overnight trips.
