Field Service Engineer – Brittany, France (Remote)
TOMRA is seeking a home-based Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot optical sorting equipment for food producers across Brittany. The role includes customer training, technical support, and occasional travel elsewhere in France.
Descriere
- Install and commission sorting systems at customer locations
- Carry out equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting
- Train customer operators and maintenance teams
- Deliver technical guidance and support to customers
- Act as TOMRA’s trusted technical representative in the field
- Plan and prepare customer visits from a home office
- Write service reports and maintain technical documentation
- Provide remote technical assistance when required
- Serve customers across Brittany and nearby regions
- Occasionally assist colleagues and customers in other parts of France
Cerințe
- Technical qualification at BAC+2 level or equivalent in electrotechnics, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, or a related field
- Practical experience diagnosing electrical faults and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
- Fluency in French
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in technical and professional settings
- Previous field service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or travelling technical support experience is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment in customer-facing settings
- Working knowledge of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and PC configuration
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build trusted professional relationships
- Valid driving licence
