Descriere

  • Lead global hosted, speaking, and sponsored event programs
  • Set the event calendar and decide which opportunities to pursue, support, or decline
  • Deliver launches, dinners, summits, and roadshows from concept and programming through venues, vendors, and run of show
  • Direct the speaking program, including stage selection and speaker preparation
  • Oversee sponsorships, negotiate commercial terms, design event footprints, and manage spending
  • Lead field events with Sales and drive customer follow-up
  • Partner with Brand and Creative to connect events with Perplexity’s product
  • Manage the events team while contributing as an individual operator
  • Create playbooks, event tiers, intake workflows, vendor and agency partnerships, and budgets
  • Track attendance, media coverage, pipeline, signups, attribution, and brand sentiment
  • Attend and oversee key events on site

Cerințe

  • Bring 12 or more years of event production experience, including large hosted events, sponsorships, and field programs, preferably within a technology company
  • Demonstrated experience building or leading an events team
  • Experience managing substantial budgets, agency partnerships, and vendor contracts
  • Proven ability to negotiate sponsorship agreements
  • Experience directing an executive speaking program, from stage selection and speaker preparation through event-day execution
  • Working knowledge of event production, including run of show, staging, audiovisual, registration, staffing, security, and permits
  • Experience creating event attribution systems, monitoring brand sentiment, and reporting event returns
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Product, Communications, Brand, Finance, Legal, and executive stakeholders
  • Advanced, practical use of AI tools
  • Located in San Francisco or New York
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Able to work from the office four days each week
