DevOps Engineer – On-Premises Kubernetes, Bonn

Design and operate secure on-premises Kubernetes platforms supporting Xecuro’s government communications systems. Build automation across infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, storage, and platform security.

Descriere

  • Design, build, and operate on-premises Kubernetes platforms
  • Automate infrastructure workflows with Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement platform monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Configure network policies and service meshes while optimizing east-west traffic
  • Maintain high availability, scalability, and resilience across the container platform
  • Integrate new services and microservices into Kubernetes environments
  • Diagnose complex cluster issues and improve platform performance
  • Apply security controls including RBAC, secrets management, network policies, and image scanning
  • Deploy and operate bare-metal storage for Kubernetes
  • Administer CSI drivers and distributed storage platforms
  • Oversee the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters and related system components
  • Partner with development teams to advance DevOps practices
  • Maintain documentation and operational concepts while improving technical standards

Cerințe

  • Extensive experience operating Kubernetes in on-premises environments rather than only through managed cloud services
  • Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, containerd, or CRI-O
  • Experience implementing and operating service meshes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Practical experience with monitoring and observability
  • Advanced Linux administration skills, especially with Ubuntu, RHEL, or SLES
  • Scripting and automation skills using Bash and Python; Go experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Understanding of high-availability architectures and cluster design
  • Networking expertise spanning TCP/IP, load balancing, Ingress, firewalls, and DNS
  • Experience using Ansible or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code in regulated environments
  • Experience with Kubernetes storage systems
  • Experience with GitOps or configuration automation
  • CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification is an advantage
  • Strong team orientation and a high sense of responsibility for critical systems
  • Willingness to engage with new technologies and projects
  • Enthusiasm for open-source tooling
