Credit Analyst, Equipment Lending - Hybrid

Evaluate equipment-lending applications for Canon Financial Services through credit analysis, risk assessment, financial statement review, and lease structuring. Support sound lending decisions while managing credit requests, approvals, renewals, and complex transactions.

Descriere

  • Make timely, well-supported credit decisions within established turnaround requirements
  • Investigate and adjudicate credit requests using available credit resources
  • Evaluate credit scores and risk ratings to identify significant strengths and weaknesses
  • Use scoring models, supplemental data, commercial and personal credit reports, and web resources to support credit decisions
  • Spread and assess financial statements, incorporating relevant metrics into credit evaluations
  • Review and decide transactions within delegated authority, including recommendations from junior analysts
  • Recommend action on transactions that exceed delegated authority
  • Monitor credit lines and process credit line renewals
  • Structure and document approvals in accordance with risk management guidelines
  • Review and approve contract-term changes within delegated authority
  • Guide sales teams on pending applications and help obtain credit and financial information
  • Maintain accurate system notes on application status
  • Address dealer and customer concerns while upholding risk management standards
  • Build effective working relationships with sales teams and end-user customers
  • Negotiate complex credit cases to secure favorable lease structures without lowering credit standards
  • Complete required training
  • Support goals related to application turnaround, approval rates, delinquency, charge-offs, appeal resolution, and pending applications
  • Coordinate credit-scoring maintenance and updates with the IT department
  • Complete special projects and other assigned duties

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required
  • Three to five years of related experience
  • Experience making lease or loan decisions is required
  • Experience in equipment financing is required
  • Strong knowledge of automated credit scoring and financial modeling, including development, adjustment, and maintenance of business and consumer scoring models
  • Ability to negotiate and close structured approvals for challenging credit cases
  • Clear understanding of equipment lease operations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and resolve issues professionally and congenially
  • Working knowledge of lease accounting systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete accurate work on schedule in a high-volume environment
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, including rapport building, listening, and questioning
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting East, Central, and West territories as needed
  • Bank credit training or other formal credit training is preferred
  • Experience in inventory finance, hard-asset underwriting, or brokerage is preferred
