Graduate Fire Engineer, 2027 Cohort at Ashton Fire (Hybrid UK)
Develop fire strategies, technical reports, inspections and computational models with Ashton Fire, a fire safety and engineering consultancy. Build professional expertise across varied building sectors while working toward professional registration.

- Research emerging fire safety products and systems
- Collaborate with design teams
- Develop fire strategies using both code-compliant and performance-based methods
- Carry out site inspections and computational modelling
- Help implement fire safety management and protection measures in existing buildings
- Coordinate with fire engineers across offices and support project engineers at all levels
- Prepare technical reports detailing assumptions, design bases, methodologies and recommendations
- Build project management and client and specialist liaison capabilities
- Participate in supported site visits when needed
- Complete the graduate training programme with guidance from a mentor
- Strengthen knowledge of fire engineering principles and relevant legislation through continuing professional development
- Participate in internal and external meetings
- Contribute to research initiatives and, over time, publish technical articles, conference papers and journal papers
