Deputy Director of Family Support Programs

Lead Best Buddies International’s family support programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across an assigned state. Recruit and coordinate mentors and volunteers, and build community partnerships.

Apraksts

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Family Support program in an assigned state.
  • Recruit mentors and mentees, and promote the program across the assigned area.
  • Deliver Eunie’s Buddies, including volunteer recruitment and training, program planning, management, and outcome assessment.
  • Work with colleagues and supervisors to achieve Eunie’s Buddies and Siblings program goals.
  • Identify and engage prospective parent mentors, mentees, and other program participants.
  • Manage parent mentor and mentee matching, and monitor the effectiveness of matches.
  • Provide local training and respond to database inquiries.
  • Train volunteers on Best Buddies and their assigned roles.
  • Identify local resources and build partnerships with organizations, hospitals, and medical practices.
  • Organize local community socials at least three to four times each year.
  • Recruit, manage, and support community volunteers.
  • Contribute to annual program evaluations, public relations, goal setting, and community relations.
  • Raise program awareness through public speaking, marketing, tabling events, and media initiatives.
  • Support funding efforts, grant writing, and statistical data collection.
  • Work with the State Director on fundraising and organize a local Eunie’s Buddies team for the Friendship Walk.
  • Partner with community leaders on parent engagement and run recruitment marketing campaigns.
  • Assess and track program outcomes regularly.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, set quarterly goals, complete paperwork, and handle assigned special projects.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing programs and leading or developing volunteers.
  • Nonprofit experience is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Excellent persuasive writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, digital meeting platforms, and learning and development facilitation software.
  • Understanding of parenting concerns and challenges faced by families raising children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.
  • Initiative, results orientation, self-assessment skills, and the ability to guide people and programs toward goals.
  • Dependability, adaptability, and the ability to lead volunteers.
  • Comfort engaging with corporate and community leaders, parents, medical professionals, and people with IDD.
  • Access to a vehicle or other transportation and applicable insurance.
  • Ability to travel, use a personal cell phone, and work evenings and weekends as needed.
