Join Securian Financial as a Data Engineer developing secure, scalable pipelines for AI and advanced analytics. Partner with technology and business teams to strengthen enterprise data architecture.

- Create, improve, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows supporting AI, advanced analytics, and broader enterprise needs.
- Evaluate and implement changes to data architecture and reusable data patterns.
- Work with product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, technology teams, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
- Advise and mentor colleagues and partner teams on data practices and solution design.
- Use data governance and security tools, processes, and principles in daily engineering work.
- Develop technical approaches that address customer needs, business processes, and engineering requirements.
Prasības
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least two years of hands-on professional experience in data engineering.
- Practical knowledge of ETL, data storage technologies, data quality, and both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience writing ANSI SQL.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, with AWS and Snowflake experience preferred.
- Programming experience with Python or Java preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and effective communication abilities.
- A curious mindset and eagerness to keep learning.
