Aprašymas

  • Handle property claims within delegated authority, applying independent judgment.
  • Investigate claims, interview parties, inspect damage, and travel to sites across the assigned territory.
  • Prepare estimates and recommendations, address coverage questions, and manage litigation.
  • Set and maintain reserves, and review reports and supporting documents.
  • Direct experts, assess coverage and claim value, decide whether to issue payment, and negotiate with plaintiff attorneys when needed.
  • Maintain claim records and submit closure reports.
  • Identify potential subrogation and take appropriate action.
  • Serve the assigned territory and resolve claims through completion.
  • Work with agents and district sales managers.
  • Support the claims supervisor or serve in that role, including representing the company in legal proceedings.
  • Complete industry training and stay current on policy changes, interpretations, and legislation.
  • Help train new claims adjusters.
  • Join the Catastrophe Team when required.
  • Complete field assignments and work with mentors and supervisors during the Property Adjuster Trainee program.

Reikalavimai

  • High school diploma or GED plus five years of claims handling experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Live within the assigned territory unless the company approves a change.
  • Travel regularly by car within the assigned territory.
  • Be available for catastrophe assignments that may involve short-notice travel and stays longer than two consecutive weeks.
  • Obtain and maintain required licenses.
  • Associate in Claims (AIC) program completion is preferred.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Move more than 50 pounds with lifting-aid equipment.
  • Climb and access elevated areas.
  • Drive frequently.
  • Perform manual keying, data entry, and computer work.
  • Push, pull, and move wheeled objects and equipment.
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
  • Ideally live in La Crosse, Wisconsin, or nearby.
