  • Conduct risk-based internal audits across business and functional teams in North America Insurance.
  • Test key controls through walkthroughs, documentation, and assessments of design and operating effectiveness.
  • Follow Internal Audit methods and professional standards.
  • Use data analytics to broaden audit coverage and refine risk assessment and testing.
  • Test financial controls in Underwriting, Claims, and Operations.
  • Lead walkthroughs covering financial controls.
  • Coordinate financial control planning, testing, and remediation with external auditors and internal teams.
  • Assess governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
  • Find control weaknesses, inefficient processes, and emerging risks, then recommend practical improvements.
  • Stay informed about regulatory obligations and insurance industry expectations.
  • Write audit reports that document findings and recommended actions.
  • Work with business teams to carry out remediation.
  • Monitor audit issues until they are resolved.
  • Develop working relationships across business and functional teams.
  • Share audit observations and offer constructive challenge.
  • Help audit leaders provide insights to senior management.
  • Improve Internal Audit methods, tools, and practices.
  • Support data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing.
  • Spot ways to improve processes, reinforce controls, and increase operational effectiveness.

Талаптар

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, risk management, insurance, mathematics, statistics, analytics, information systems, engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Two to three years of professional experience in audit, SOX, risk management, compliance testing, controls testing, or public accounting.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify concerns, ask useful follow-up questions, and support conclusions with evidence.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Interest in building knowledge of internal audit methods, insurance operations, and Sompo processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload.
  • Ability to work independently while handling competing priorities.
  • CIA or CPA certification is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
