Senior Customer Success Accounting Consultant - Clio, Dublin Hybrid
Support UK law firms as a senior accounting consultant for Clio’s legal technology, advising on client money compliance, bookkeeping, VAT, implementations, and customer training.

- Advise UK law-firm customers on accounting and bookkeeping practices, including client account management, office accounts, and VAT
- Serve as the regional specialist for client money compliance and SRA Accounts Rules
- Resolve complex accounting issues and escalations involving reconciliations, client-ledger corrections, and account migrations
- Determine whether discrepancies stem from user errors, system configuration, or product issues
- Partner with Support, Product, Engineering, Sales, Onboarding, Customer Success, and related teams
- Test UK-specific workflows and develop best-practice guidance for Clio’s accounting products
- Provide focused training and specialist accounting advisory sessions
- Design bookkeeping and accounting workflows that align with UK regulations
- Support accounting setup implementations and migrations from platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks Online
- Advise customers on integrations and configuration, including charts of accounts, bank feeds, and VAT settings
- Act as a trusted accounting advisor throughout customer adoption
- Produce tailored training materials, documentation, and educational content
- Develop EMEA team expertise and check support documentation for accounting accuracy
- Recommend accounting product enhancements informed by customer needs, feedback, and sales performance
- Represent UK customer priorities with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Sales and prospective customers to position accounting consultancy and support opportunity closure

- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- At least five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including two or more years with law firms or client money
- Practical knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules and law-firm client and office account management
- Strong understanding of UK VAT for law firms, including disbursements and Making Tax Digital
- Strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to analyse complex accounting processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting and compliance topics clearly
- Experience configuring and customising accounting software and integrations such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage
- An accounting qualification such as ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland, or AAT is advantageous
- A legal finance qualification or relevant law-firm finance experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of accounting requirements in other markets, including the Republic of Ireland, is advantageous
- Conveyancing or probate accounting experience is advantageous
- Experience advising small and mid-sized law firms is advantageous
- Experience with cloud-based legal technology, accounting implementations, or data migrations is advantageous
- Understanding of REST API concepts is advantageous
