Strategic Partnerships Manager, Germany (Hybrid)

Lead strategic partnerships that expand OpenAI product adoption across Germany’s enterprise, developer, and consumer markets. Negotiate major technology agreements and coordinate delivery across internal and external teams.

Description

  • Set and deliver Germany’s partnership strategy while supporting broader EMEA and international priorities
  • Develop and execute partnership plans that increase OpenAI product adoption across enterprise, developer, and consumer channels
  • Manage strategic relationships with German partners and support cross-border opportunities
  • Negotiate and close local and international agreements covering commercial terms, product scope, data and privacy, brand and marketing, incentives, and expansion opportunities
  • Guide senior partner relationships by building trust, aligning joint value propositions, and navigating complex decisions
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, Policy, and regional teams to align roadmaps and deliver partnership initiatives
  • Use knowledge of Germany and EMEA market differences to guide prioritization, positioning, and partner selection
  • Establish success metrics, track progress, identify risks, and communicate results to internal stakeholders
  • Support additional markets, industries, or partnership models as business priorities change

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, product partnerships, business development, or technology-industry general management
  • Fluency in both English and German
  • A track record of leading high-impact local and international partnerships with major technology companies, including complex cross-border initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of the German market
  • Experience working across multiple countries and international markets
  • Strong product fluency, with the credibility to engage technical stakeholders and influence product direction and roadmap decisions
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and executive presence
  • Strong analytical judgment and confidence using data to guide decisions and communicate impact
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment while operating independently, collaborating broadly, and adapting across markets, industries, and partnership models
  • Authorization to work in Germany
  • Ability to work from a local office three days per week
