Description

  • Recruit, hire, and train enthusiastic employees to deliver excellent customer service
  • Assign and manage tasks that keep the site clean, stocked, organized, and well maintained
  • Project a professional, supportive image to employees and supervisors
  • Schedule employees to optimize customer service and maintain the site’s image
  • Use nondiscriminatory practices when hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees
  • Build constructive relationships with suppliers
  • Promote high service standards and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
  • Support a safe, positive public image within the surrounding community
  • Complete timely written performance appraisals and provide feedback
  • Train employees in customer service, site presentation, marketing execution, and safety procedures
  • Communicate promptly with employees and hold regular meetings with site employees and the Market Manager
  • Assess site needs and create action plans to achieve objectives
  • Organize and maintain site files and manuals
  • Complete required reports accurately and on schedule
  • Keep merchandise stocked, attractively presented, and correctly priced
  • Ensure employment-related posters and notices are accessible to employees
  • Review daily sales and expense data to improve sales and net profit
  • Prepare P&L budgets and forecasts and manage merchandise margins
  • Safeguard and reconcile all money received and disbursed
  • Conduct additional financial analyses to improve sales and net profit
  • Work mainly indoors, with occasional outdoor duties such as cleaning parking areas and gas pumps and removing garbage
  • Supervise work in occasional cold conditions, including walk-in coolers and freezers, and in occasional noise
  • Work with limited direction while serving as an effective manager, supervisor, and leader

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Retail sales experience preferred
  • Experience performing the essential duties in the stated working conditions
  • Ability to supervise and train employees in using specified equipment, tools, and materials
  • Ability to supervise and manage CSR and ASM functions
  • Ability to use a computer or develop the necessary skills for report analysis, inventory control, cash control, and counseling notices
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from bank and corporate management meetings
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
  • Availability for flexible day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
