Sourcing Specialist – Hyatt Hybrid, Cancun
Hyatt is hiring a Sourcing Specialist to manage competitive procurement, supplier negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives. The role supports efficient and dependable hospitality operations through strategic sourcing.
Description
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define business needs and shape sourcing strategies
- Assess requirements and source qualified suppliers that meet business, quality, service, and delivery standards
- Direct competitive sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, auctions, and bid processes
- Negotiate pricing, contract provisions, service levels, and commercial terms
- Track market trends, supplier capabilities, labor costs, and broader industry conditions
- Find and implement opportunities to reduce costs
- Manage supplier evaluation and selection using quality, service, cost, compliance, and business-fit criteria
- Build supplier relationships and oversee performance and adherence to contractual obligations
- Establish and administer leverage agreements and strategic sourcing programs
- Broaden the supplier base by finding and qualifying alternative sources
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or a related area
- Background supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, contracting, or procurement operations
- Experience in a corporate, hospitality, shared-services, or multi-location setting
- Familiarity with strategic sourcing methods and supplier management practices
- Experience coordinating competitive sourcing processes such as RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
- Ability to interpret business needs and create sourcing strategies
- Ability to assess requirements and identify suitable suppliers
- Knowledge of supplier evaluation, selection, performance management, and compliance
- Knowledge of pricing structures, contract terms, service levels, and commercial agreements
- Understanding of market conditions, supplier capabilities, labor rates, and industry trends
