Description

  • Lead software engineers through the architecture, development, testing, and delivery of enterprise applications
  • Maintain software development lifecycle standards while identifying opportunities to improve engineering processes
  • Contribute to architecture decisions during product development
  • Promote automation across continuous integration, testing, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with executive leadership, engineering managers, product owners, scrum masters, DevOps, database, and UI specialists
  • Coordinate with technology teams, including offshore groups, to investigate, communicate, and prioritize system issues
  • Build team capability in software quality, scalability, performance, resilience, and fault tolerance
  • Work with QA teams to release validated software into production
  • Advise teams on practices that support reliable software delivery
  • Adjust working hours, including late nights and weekends, when business continuity requires it
  • Provide additional crunch-time effort when necessary to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Background in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a comparable education or qualification; a specific degree is not explicitly required
  • At least two years of experience leading software engineers or working in an engineering leadership position
  • Eight or more years of hands-on engineering experience with .NET, C#, Web API, GraphQL, or similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of web-based systems architecture
  • Experience applying service-oriented design patterns, interfaces, and inheritance
  • Substantial experience developing enterprise business software
  • Capacity to learn unfamiliar concepts, technologies, and business processes quickly
  • Ability to apply software engineering principles, theories, algorithms, and concepts
  • Strong focus and attention to detail in a fast-moving environment, along with the ability to coach others
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies
  • A 30-day notice period is preferred
