Senior Software Developer Lead

Lead full-stack development of AI-enabled enterprise platforms at Export Development Canada. Build web applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native delivery systems.

Description

  • Build and operate the Working Capital Solutions group’s digital platform.
  • Develop web applications and integration capabilities.
  • Extend integration pattern support and maintain an integration catalogue.
  • Encourage platform adoption, then monitor and optimize its performance.
  • Build and operate the Agentic SDLC Operating System.
  • Integrate AI-assisted development into delivery workflows with GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, and Azure Foundry.
  • Review system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts; advise on front-end, API, integration, and DevOps work.
  • Work with the design team to clarify UI/UX needs and deliver practical solutions.
  • Write quality code, review colleagues’ code, and uphold codebase standards.
  • Define the target state alongside analysts, architects, developers, testers, and release leads.
  • Assess delivery effort, bottlenecks, and rework; prioritize valuable agent use cases and flag work unsuitable for automation.
  • Contribute to the Technical Community of Practice through knowledge sharing, standards development, and hiring.
  • Explain complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders to consider alternative viewpoints.
  • Build secure retrieval across authorized work items, source repositories, design records, and meeting records.
  • Connect source control, work tracking, CI/CD pipelines, testing platforms, and telemetry services.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, solution guidance, and hands-on full-stack development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least eight years of hands-on full-stack software engineering experience delivering production systems at enterprise scale.
  • Experience building web applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong coding, testing, and release practices.
  • Advanced full-stack skills in Angular, React, .NET, APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot and modern developer platforms, including pull request workflows, code review, branching strategies, repository governance, automation, and engineering telemetry.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience designing, building, and integrating AI-enabled developer experiences, agents, and copilots into enterprise software delivery workflows.
  • Strong background in cloud architecture, identity, networking, platform engineering, and security controls.
  • Knowledge of enterprise governance, risk, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing reusable engineering assets such as frameworks, standards, reference implementations, templates, and accelerator patterns.
  • Knowledge of enterprise application architecture, distributed systems, microservices, API-first design, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of REST, JSON, SOAP, OpenAPI, and enterprise integration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Entra ID/Azure AD, workload identities, and secure application authentication.
  • Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across build, deployment, automation, integration, DevOps, networking, and security technologies.
  • Experience managing integration design patterns and practices, including API virtualization, resilient event-driven architecture, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience using security scanning tools.
  • Design proficiency with Figma or similar tools.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada when applying; Canadian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
  • Must be able to meet the required government security screening criteria.
