Description
- Develop and maintain a mature Ruby on Rails application hosted on Heroku
- Refactor existing Rails code to improve reliability and long-term maintainability
- Resolve complex technical issues that hinder team delivery
- Reduce technical debt across critical parts of the codebase
- Work closely with the engineering team to remove development blockers
- Deliver carefully tested changes with production reliability as a priority
Requirements
- At least 8–10 years of professional Ruby on Rails experience
- Proven background working on large, mature, or legacy Rails applications
- Strong command of Rails conventions, ActiveRecord, and established Rails design patterns
- Demonstrated ability to debug and solve problems in complex production codebases
- Experience deploying or supporting Ruby on Rails applications on Heroku
- Ability to become productive quickly and deliver meaningful results early
- Clear and considerate communication skills for effective collaboration with distributed teams
